Enough is Enough - Leave Social Media Now

I’m publishing this series of articles to share and discuss my ruminations on coping with a troubled and messy world. Please “follow” me to never miss an article.
Social Media is a monster.
If ever there were a “final straw,” the live airing on Social Media of Black people as they were being murdered in a Buffalo grocery store is it! Don’t talk to me about Social Media policing themselves. They are totally irresponsible. If I could close them down, I would do it in an instance.
To compound matters and thus to make things even worse, school teachers were prohibited in certain states (guess where) from discussing what happened in Buffalo, or if they did to “present both sides of the issue.” Both sides? As if White Supremacy and Replacement Theory are deserving in any way from being considered other than to condemn them.
No wonder why teachers are leaving in record numbers. They can’t take it anymore, especially when they’re not supported by their so-called leaders and community.
As I’ve been writing all too often, something terribly wrong has happened in our world. While he didn’t create it, Trump allowed the abject hate, racism, conspiracy theories and the like that have been brewing for years not just to see the light of day but to be embraced and celebrated by far too many.
While I know all too much that people are unfortunately not likely to give up using Social Media. Indeed, it’s as addictive as any known drug. Nonetheless, I will continue to speak out against it and do all my best to discourage people from using it.
Enough is enough!
